Pesto is a great healthy option for using your fresh or dried basil!
Recipe Source: SNAP-Ed
- 2 cups basil leaves
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic or 1 clove of fresh garlic, minced
- Rinse basil leaves well in a bowl of water. Pat dry and remove stems.
- Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.
- Blend ingredients.
