Aging Services Nutrition Consultant
The New York State Office for the Aging focuses on providing SNAP-Ed Nutrition Education for individuals in New York State who are 60+ years, in the form of interactive community workshops, healthy eating resource fairs, and food box distributions.
The primary focus of our classes is:
- Promote food resource management skills.
- Encourage healthy foods and physical activity behaviors.
- Teach weight management.
- Increase consumption of nutrient dense foods.
- Develop skills to prepare low-cost, nutrient dense recipes through food demonstrations.
