Half Grains to Whole Grains

Grains are an important part of a healthy diet, and most people do eat a lot of grains. However, we tend to eat more refined grains than whole grains.

It’s important to make half of your grains whole grains. Whole grains contain the entire grain kernel–the bran, germ, and endosperm–and are a great way to reduce the risk of some chronic diseases. Eating whole grains is a healthy practice and can help you save time. You can even make some of your favorite recipes just by substituting refined grains for whole grains.
